The recently concluded 2026 China Home Appliance and Consumer Electronics Expo (AWE2026) was bustling with people. The flagship intelligent hardware product of Zhiwei Technology, the Zhiwei AI Ring Glow, made its global debut and became the world's first "intelligent AI heart rate analysis + heart and blood oxygen analysis" AI smart ring.
Just after the launch ceremony concluded, the exhibition booth was completely surrounded by representatives from dealerships across the country and even from overseas. According to the official announcement, the total signing amount at the scene has exceeded ten million yuan, and many leading chain channel partners have immediately finalized their annual cooperation framework on the spot.
As one of the three major global home appliance and consumer electronics exhibitions on par with the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas and the IFA in Berlin, the "citywide event" AWE2026 in Shanghai showcased over 1,000 new annual products and global premieres over the past two days. It covered all sectors including smart home appliances, cleaning robots, kitchen intelligence, wearable devices, and whole-house intelligence, achieving record-high numbers and innovation levels.

This exhibition has adopted a unique "one exhibition, two zones" model. Within the 170,000-square-meter exhibition space, 1,200 top-notch enterprises from both home and abroad have gathered. Centering on the theme of "AI Technology - Enjoying the Future", it not only comprehensively presents the technological explosion panorama ranging from smart homes, embodied intelligence to smart transportation, but also, at the historical intersection point where Shanghai has fully built itself as an international exhibition city by the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan and further elevates its level during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, it has successfully upgraded from an "home appliance exhibition" to a "global AI technology trendsetter" brand image.
From home appliance exhibitions to the support of cutting-edge AI
IFA has a history of 102 years, CES has a history of 59 years. AWE, though a "young brother", has grown rapidly. It was founded in Beijing in 1992, moved to Shanghai in 2008, and was renamed as China Home Appliance and Consumer Electronics Expo in 2015 from China Home Appliance Expo.
In 2025, AWE will focus on "AI Technology, AI Life", and introduce new exhibits such as AR/VR and service robots. This year's exhibition has been further upgraded with the theme of "AI Technology - Enjoying the Future". It is driven by the world's leading AI technology and showcases the latest achievements of China's home appliances and consumer electronics industry.
This change is first reflected in the reshaping of the relationship between humans and technology by AI. At the exhibition, AI is no longer a passive response tool, but rather a "life partner" that actively senses, understands, and serves people.
The world's smallest commercially producible full-color MicroLED light waveguide AR glasses, Raybird X3 Pro, equipped with viaim's brain, and the future intelligent Xilin AI conference headphones, have comprehensively upgraded human perception experience with intelligent technology; BleeqUp four-in-one sports glasses, Starway Future Phoenix exoskeleton, and Airwheel smart luggage from Aiwei, have become the "weight-reducing gear" for outdoor players; Enya Music's Cyber G Cyber Guitar integrates digital technology into musical equipment, bringing a refreshing audio-visual experience; Filmstock Insta360 8K panoramic camera X5 reconstructs the boundaries of image creation with a unique perspective...
At the Qianwan AI glasses exhibition stand, two Turkish visitors couldn't hide their excitement after putting on the glasses: "I can see that your language has been translated into Turkish on the screen. This is simply amazing! I've never seen this before, and this is the first time."
From exhibits to products, from laboratories to daily life, AWE 2026 witnessed the acceleration of AI technology implementation in China.
On the morning of March 13th, the AWE exhibition entered its second day. At the launch ceremony of the National Home Appliance and Digital and Intelligent Product Consumption Season, Xu Dongsheng, the vice president of the China Home Appliance Association, released the "2026 China Home Appliance Consumption Trend White Paper" and pointed out: "Under the triple driving forces of the comprehensive implementation of artificial intelligence, the accelerated exploration of embodied robots, and the continuous efforts of the national trade-in policy, the home appliance consumption in 2026 is forming two core trends: 'intelligent' leading life and 'green' driving the future."
As an important platform for implementing the national strategy of expanding domestic demand and for implementing the policy of exchanging old products for new ones in the consumer goods sector, the "AWE Renewal Consumption Festival" officially launched on March 12th. During the period from March 12th to 15th, consumers can simply search for "AWE Renewal Consumption Festival" on various relevant platforms to enjoy the benefits of product renewal.
