Global shipments are projected to double to 16 million units by 2026; by 2030, this figure will climb to 80 million units. A trillion-dollar "blue ocean" market is rapidly taking shape.

Shenzhen boasts the world's most complete smart glasses industry chain, while Longgang, as the heart of global high-end glasses manufacturing, leverages its over forty years of accumulated industrial foundation to gather nearly 1,000 glasses manufacturers, 90% of China's high-end glasses designers, and accounts for over 50% of the global market's annual production of mid-to-high-end glasses, building a rare industrial ecosystem in China and even globally that deeply integrates precision manufacturing and fashion design.

A vivid example is the APEC Forestry Ministerial Meeting held in Shenzhen from July 27th to 28th, 2026. During an interview, Eduardo Pedrosa, Executive Director of the APEC Secretariat, enthusiastically tried on holographic AI glasses from LOHO, a company based in Longgang. This scene not only became a highlight for Chinese smart glasses products on the international stage but also fully demonstrated the core competitiveness and rapid response capabilities of Longgang manufacturing in the global smart glasses era.

Another example is Yashi Optics, rooted in Longgang. This leading local enterprise with decades of manufacturing experience has partnered deeply with Huawei to launch the Silaibo smart glasses, forging a differentiated path by integrating traditional optics with AI. Its smart glasses have entered the high-end markets of Europe and America, achieving sales of 500 million yuan last year alone.

II. Increased Policy Support: Targeted Support for Pain Points in the Industry Chain

The newly released Measures move beyond the traditional approach of universal subsidies, focusing on the pain points and deficiencies in each link of the smart glasses industry chain, aiming to pave a fast track for industry development.

III. Seizing Opportunities: From a "Manufacturing Hub" to a "Global Innovation Source"

Longgang's ambition extends beyond simply maintaining a manufacturing base. It has developed a complete supporting system around smart glasses, encompassing upstream core components, midstream structural design and assembly, and downstream brand operation and market sales. Under the strategic guidance of "All in AI + HarmonyOS Zone," companies such as Connet Optics, Gudong Intelligent, and Weiku Optoelectronics are collaborating closely with terminal brands like Huawei, LOHO, and Yashi Optics within the district. The unique competitive advantages of close upstream and downstream support and rapid technological iteration have taken shape.

To encourage innovative enterprises to "dare to do, be able to do, and succeed," Longgang has provided substantial financial support and real-world scenarios. An industrial fund with a total scale of over 48 billion yuan has been established. Longgang is accelerating the construction of an industrial layout of "two parks, one district, one town, one valley, and one base." The nation's first "industrial building upstairs" project for the eyewear industry—Yuanshan Eyewear Intelligent Manufacturing Park—has been fully sold and delivered. In July 2026, the nation's first AI-themed smart eyewear commercial complex—Henggang AI+ Eyewear Center—officially opened and began operation, marking Longgang's eyewear industry's entry into a new stage of integrated development of "AI + eyewear, technology + consumption, and industry + cultural tourism."

The Measures will take effect on August 3, 2026, and will be valid for three years.
