Smart rings are also accessories, and choosing the wrong color can make them look cheap.
Many people focus solely on functionality and overlook how the ring’s color complements their skin tone.
Silver and black suit cool, fair skin tones, while rose gold and champagne gold suit warm, yellowish skin tones.
We invited 20 female users to try on smart rings in six different colors, took photos of them under various lighting conditions, and had 10 fashion professionals evaluate them in a blind test.
Rose gold received the highest score (8.7/10) on warm, yellow-toned skin, and was described as “exuding elegance.”
Black ceramic scored 8.2 on cool, fair skin and was described as “super cool.”
Silver was the most versatile but prone to showing fingerprints, scoring 7.5.
Bright colors like blue and purple received the lowest scores (4.9) and were described as “toy-like.”
One user said, “I was originally planning to buy black, but the try-on stickers made me try rose gold, and my friends all said it looked great.”
The Pantone Color Institute notes that the contrast between jewelry and skin tone affects the visual brightening effect; warm skin tones suit warm-toned metals.
Choose the right color, and your style will shine even brighter.
