On April 1, the “Innovative Excellence, Connecting the Future” 2026 AI Glasses China Tour (Dongguan Songshan Lake Special Edition) Supply-Demand Matching Conference was held in Songshan Lake. Focusing on key topics such as development opportunities in the AI glasses industry, the industrial ecosystem advantages of Songshan Lake, and the application of lightweight new materials, the event attracted representatives from enterprises across the AI glasses industry chain, as well as technical experts, who gathered to explore the path of innovative development for the smart wearables industry.

This event was jointly organized by the Dongguan Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the Dongguan Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau, and the Songshan Lake Bureau of Industry and Information Technology.

Representatives from the Songshan Lake Bureau of Industry and Information Technology’s Task Force on Next-Generation Information Technology and Intelligent Connected Vehicles, as well as the Songshan Lake Science City Exhibition Hall, provided attendees with a detailed overview of Songshan Lake’s industrial development environment and policy advantages. Currently, Songshan Lake has established a full-chain supply capability for AI glasses, capable of sourcing 90% of the components required for production within one hour; It is home to leading enterprises such as Huawei, Jiahe Intelligence, and Huqin Technology, and boasts major scientific infrastructure including the China Spallation Neutron Source, resulting in a concentration of innovation resources and a solid industrial foundation. At the same time, the park offers comprehensive policy support spanning the entire industrial lifecycle—including key technology R&D initiatives, talent subsidies, and a 10-billion-yuan industrial master fund—combined with multiple advantages in cost, logistics, and ecosystem development. It is seizing the opportunity presented by the AI glasses industry’s explosive growth and is fully committed to building a major domestic hub for AI glasses innovation and manufacturing.

“Global shipments of XR devices are projected to reach 15 million units in 2025, representing year-over-year growth of over 40%, with shipments of AI smart glasses reaching 4 million units—a staggering 280% increase from the previous year.” A representative from the Dongguan Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology stated that “a significant portion of these AI smart glasses are manufactured by Dongguan-based companies.” Dongguan’s total output value in the electronic information industry has surpassed the 1 trillion yuan mark. The city covers the entire AI smart glasses supply chain—from acoustic systems, camera modules, and metal structural components to contract manufacturing—enabling one-stop delivery from R&D and prototyping to mass production. It has thus become a preferred manufacturing hub for the global XR industry.

Currently, Dongguan has 47 key projects related to XR terminal devices, with a total investment of 20.3 billion yuan. Earlier this year, Dongguan introduced specialized support policies for the XR industry, covering multiple dimensions such as investment promotion, capital increases and production expansion, and technological upgrades. These policies provide full-cycle, comprehensive policy support and resource guarantees for enterprises’ innovative development and scale expansion.

In addition, the event featured a presentation by a representative from Jiuhao Technology on the topic of “The Application Prospects and Development Potential of Bamboo-Based Biofibers in the Eyewear Industry: New Industrial Opportunities Under the National Strategy of Replacing Plastic with Bamboo,” which provided innovative technical approaches and material solutions for the development of lightweight, eco-friendly, and cost-effective AI glasses.

Following the event, attendees visited Jiahe Intelligent for an on-site tour and exchange, gaining firsthand insight into the core technologies and mass production capabilities of AI glasses, thereby further promoting resource sharing and win-win cooperation across the entire industrial chain.

Representatives from the “AI Glasses China Tour” stated that they will organize more corporate representatives to visit leading enterprises in Dongguan’s industrial chain, such as Huawei, Huachen Technology, Luxshare, and Goertek, to further facilitate the matching of industrial resources and help establish Dongguan’s Songshan Lake as a major domestic hub for AI glasses innovation and manufacturing.
